The January 2018 Ovation Awards, Celebrating the Musicals of 2017
The 14th Annual OVATION! Awards, was held on Sunday January 28 at the Vancouver Academy of Music. The Awards Show was fabulously co-hosted by Chris Adams & Erik Gow.
Special Longtime Contribution Awards were given to Ruth Nichol, and the late Alex McLeod. The Cheryl Hutcherson Award was presented to Capilano University student Jolene Bernardino.
A cast of over 50 performers sang out show tunes from numerous musicals that were presented in the Lower Mainland in 2017, and 23 awards were presented in a number of categories (listed below). Over 120 individuals and companies were nominated (listed below) and the winners are listed in BOLD.
